DESCRIPTION:Workplace Violence and Intruder Response\n\nPresenter: Mark Warren\, Vice President and Director of Training\n\nStrategos International\n\n \n\nShould a business have a policy and trained response plan for an intruder in the workplace? Homicides in the workplace are the second leading cause of death in the workplace in America. The primary cause of death for women in the workplace is tied between motor vehicle accidents and homicides. In fact between the years of 1992-2006 there were 11\,613 homicides in the workplace. In this seminar we will discuss the need for a plan\, identify the prevalence of workplace violence and what a response could look like for your organization. \n\n\n\nBio: Mr. Warren is the Vice President and Director of Training for Strategos International and began his 27-year law enforcement career in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps. He has experience as an undercover operative\, a tactical team member\, and an instructor. He has been involved in the planning\, implementation\, and execution of hundreds of high-risk arrests\, and spent five years with a large multi-agency task force working as an undercover operative and team leader. Mr. Warren was the Firearms/Use-of-Force Program Manager for his department prior to retiring.  Mr. Warren is currently a Retired Sergeant for a local agency and was the 2000 Missouri P.O.S.T.
