DESCRIPTION:The 10th Annual Downtown Holiday Lighting Festival will be Friday\, Dec. 5. Activities will start at 4:00 p.m. in and around the first floor of the Unified Government Office Building at 7th and Barnett. Activities will include the neighborhood group Christmas tree decorating contest\, entertainment by local school and community groups\, holiday characters\, visits with Santa and Mrs. Santa Claus\, classic holiday movies in commission chambers and a hot air balloon night glow (weather permitting). The evening ends with the lighting of the Mayor's Downtown Tree at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Holland\, Commissioners and other elected officials.
