DESCRIPTION:Join the KCK Chamber young professionals for drinks\, networking and a presentation by leaders throughout Kansas City\, Kansas. The event will take place once a quarter. \n\n\n\nWe are excited to present our second S@S program on Thursday\, May 19\, at 6 p.m.\, at Stockyards Brewing Company. This program's presenter is Andrew Davis\, 8th District Commissioner for the Unified Government of KCK & WyCo. More about Andrew below.\n\n\n\n\nAndrew Davis serves as the 8th district Commissioner of the Unified Government Wyandotte County/Kansas City\, Kansas. The 8th district is located in north-central Kansas City\, Kansas\, and includes institutions like KCKCC\, Washington Highschool\, and F.L. Schlegel Highschool. The main priorities Andrew has while governing are fighting for more community benefits in economic development projects\, advocating for the UG to invest in our youth through internships and Parks & Rec\, and continuing citizen engagement through town halls.\n\n \n\nAndrew is also the Community Development Coordinator of Community Capital Fund which specializes in grant allocation to areas of need in the Kansas City Metro Area. When he's not working he's in school finishing up his MPA at KU with an emphasis on local government management. Andrew and his spouse Andrea are proud to call the 8th district home and do what they can to make Wyandotte County a better place.
