Prior to joining KCKCC, Dr. Mosier served as the executive vice president at Rochester Community and Technical College, in Rochester Minnesota. Located in the home of the Mayo Clinic, RCTC offered multiple joint programs with the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences. During his tenure at RCTC, he led initiatives to launch a new Aviation Pilot Education program in cooperation with the Rochester International Airport and a Culinary/Hospitality program via a public-private partnership with a national hotel brand and partner four-year institution.
Along with his experience in the community college sector, Dr. Mosier served as the vice president of academic affairs at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, the technology campus of the OSU system. Here, he worked with more than 400 national and international companies and corporations, expanding, and creating new programs sponsored and supported by business and industry.
Dedicated to providing students high-quality educational opportunities and facilities that prepare them for success in careers, transfer to four-year institutions, and lifelong learning, during his career Greg has worked with institutions and donors to raise more than $45 million in grants and private giving. As dean at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri, Mosier was part of a gubernatorial assigned business attraction team responsible for bringing an IBM Information Technology Global Delivery Center to Columbia, MO; adding more than 600 new jobs to the community.
With his passion for the community college mission and providing open-door access to not only educational opportunities, but academic success, Dr. Mosier is working with the College’s dedicated and talented faculty and staff, and external stakeholders, to build teams that remove barriers and increase the equity of educational opportunities and support mechanisms to close the achievement gap in underserved and at risk student populations.
Beyond his educational experiences, Mosier has worked in the private sector, working for organizations such as NASA, Rockwell International, Technologies International, EduSystems Inc., and the Consortium for International Development. Work for these groups included Department of Defense contract work in the United States, and community college development for World Bank projects and the Ministries of Education in Yemen, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Greg is married to Laurie, his wonderful wife of 23 years. They have two children, Garrett, 21, who graduated this spring with an Engineering Degree from the University of Tulsa, and Savannah, 19, who is studying health sciences at the University of Minnesota Rochester, with the goal to become an orthopedic surgeon.
