Greg has 25 years of experience in community and economic development primarily in the Kansas City market.  In his role as the President of the Wyandotte Economic Development Council, he administers programs focused on business recruitment, retention, expansion, marketing, and workforce solutions.  He and his team identify ways to attract the right businesses for specific locations, retain the companies already located in the county, grow businesses through a variety of traditional and new approaches to economic development, and identify strategies for long-term community growth all with a focus on building relationships.

He has been fortunate to work with a supportive and visionary Board, community partners and a team focused on continuing Wyandotte County’s economic transformation. Since joining WYEDC, more than $5 billion in investments have been announced along with additional jobs created and a focus on connecting Wyandotte Countians to the jobs being created with a goal of increasing median household income.

He served as President of the Southwest Johnson County Economic Development Corporation where he helped lay the groundwork for the BNSF Logistics Park.  He brings a unique regional and utility perspective having worked in management capacities at Evergy as Senior Manager of Economic Development & Customer Solutions.  He has held roles in state government, United Way and Sprint which have also contributed to his experience in business development.
