Speakers Bio

Brenda Bandy is the Executive Director of the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. Brenda Bandy oversees the KBC’s programs, working across public and private sectors to remove barriers to breastfeeding. Since 2009, she has assisted hundreds of businesses in Kansas, at no cost, to support their breastfeeding workers and comply with federal laws while creating a family-friendly workplace. Brenda’s years of experience working with employers have given her many creative solutions to solve any employer’s challenges to providing space and break time for their breastfeeding employees.
Dana Book is a Training Specialist with the Kansas Children’s Service League. Combining 35 years of business leadership and over 30 years of parenting experience, he works with businesses, coalitions, and other organizations to help equip employers and communities across Kansas to create family-friendly workplaces and build resilience within the community. Dana resides in Topeka with his wife and children, cat, 3 hamsters, and hedgehog.
