Learn more about the MOKAN Take Charge Challenge, coordinated locally by the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities, which runs Aug. 1, 2013, through Jan. 31, 2014. It includes the Kansas cities of Hutchinson; Hays; Kansas City, Kan. and Warrensburg, Mo. Kansas City, Kansas currently has one business enrolled in the challenge, but can accept more.
The Challenge runs over an eight-month period, giving participants suitable time to complete activities and make important changes related to energy efficiency and conservation. The MOKAN Challenge builds upon the success of the Kansas Challenge, which ran in 2009. The registration process for participating organizations is quick and easy, and is handled entirely by the challenge website http://www.takechargechallenge.com/.
